Lighthouses of the Great Lakes: Your Ultimate Guide to the Region's Historic Lighthouses (Pictorial Discovery Guide) Review
Join Todd R. Berger and Daniel E. Dempster on a tour of the lighthouses of the Great Lakes! This lavishly-illustrated book details the fascinating history of such popular lighthouses as Split Rock, Sandusky, Big Sable Point, Old Mackinac Point Light, and Marblehead Light. Berger’s lively stories about lighthouse keepers and their families, horrific storms, and even encounters with ghosts, round out the narrative, which is complemented by stunning photography that brings the lighthouses to life. Included are images of lights in a variety of light and weather—plus photographs that bring you inside the structures. Traveling the area is easy with a comprehensive appendix that lists all the current lighthouses. Daniel E. Dempster has photographed lighthouses, landscapes, equines, canines, and other subjects. His images have graced the pages of calendars, books, and other publications.
